The name "Mutsuki" is derived from the desire to satisfy the six senses of taste, touch, smell, hearing, sight, and the unique experience of being here. You can enjoy meals based on traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine, using a variety of locally sourced ingredients carefully selected for each season. We offer the utmost hospitality along with full-course meals that are inspired by the seasons.

The ingredients are all seasonal, carefully selected by the chef. These Japanese dishes accentuate the flavors and fragrances of the ingredients in their natural state, and is an embodiment of the seasonal scenic beauty of Hakone. The wide array of culinary techniques and the natural beauty of Gora will not only satisfy your taste buds, but will also bring you pure joy. The monthly main course, which comprises the three gradational concepts of purity, arrangement, and reincarnation, is prepared in table d'hôte style with a choice of two items out of six different fish and meat dishes. Relish the meal with a cup of superb sake carefully selected by sake experts from all around Japan. Conclude the course with a delightful jelly dessert crafted by a dedicated pastry chef.

    At the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, he prepared meals for the Imperial Household Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the State Guest House. After training at the long-established Japanese restaurant "Nadaman," he started a restaurant in Kagurazaka called "Kifu." With a focus on a new concept of Japanese cuisine, he fuses Japanese tradition with foreign culinary culture to differentiate our inn from others.

The elegant design features a modern take on traditional Japanese fixtures, such as illuminated walls decorated with kumiko patterns, and pillars with a rammed-earth finish. A large window overlooks the expansive water terrace, with seats where you can enjoy your meal while watching the scenery transform from day to night.
For guests who prefer a bit of privacy, private and semi-private rooms are also available. The layout is carefully designed to prevent eye contact, so you can unwind and relax with your loved ones in a serene, private atmosphere.
